To learn more about the Jolly Boys check this vid.  I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting these gentleman and seeing them play live in their hometown of Port Antonio (or Porty as the locals call it).  They are so good that they even got me out of bed w food poisoning to check their rockin beats.  Albert is one of the smoothest cats on the planet and truly a star.  If you haven’t bought their record yet….do it!! I promise you will like!!!

It’s sunny out but having a bit of a Blue Monday…this makes it better!!!

Two amazing finds yesterday from the Lincoln Road Outdoor Collectible Market…that’s the official name if you wanna google that shiz.  The shades are one of a kind made by a local vendor back in the 80’s.  Yep they were a must have.  And a mint condition vinyl copy of Fast Times Soundtrack for $5…hell to the yeah!!!  Twice a month Lincoln Road becomes a collectors dream that’s ripe for the picking.  While sipping a coco frio and munching on a home empanada you can browse for everything from great deco furniture to old magazines and more.  It’s absolutely one of my favorite hometown activities.  It happens two Sundays a month until the weather gets a bit too scorching.  The great thing is while you browse all the booths you can also pop into the killer shops and restaurants that make Lincoln Road a favorite of tourists and locals alike.  Next time you’re in Miami on a Sunday check it out.
